A straight answer on scope, time and price
For design work we quote before we start. For consulting we will usually suggest a short call first, because scoping by email tends to waste both our time.

We send an upload link, check the data is usable, and confirm the deadline before anyone starts designing. If the records will not support the plan, you hear that first rather than last.
Common first questions.
It depends on complexity, and we quote before we start rather than after. A single unit and a full-arch hybrid are not the same job, and pricing that pretends otherwise is pricing designed to surprise you later.
Yes. Design and planning work is location-independent, and most of our communication happens asynchronously anyway. Time zones matter for live sessions, so tell us where you are when you write.
That is what we prefer. One case tells you more about whether we are a fit than any amount of correspondence.
Describe the problem rather than the solution and we will tell you which of the three — if any — actually applies. Sometimes the answer is a two-day workshop rather than a monthly design plan.
